Our Analyses of Major Issues

We have made a detailed study of several major issues concerning this application. We are putting our results into a number of documents. The first two are linked below.

(1) Protecting open space on the Campion site. In this paper we have studied the three levels of planning guidelines (Government, regional and local). On the basis of this and a detailed examination of the impact that the application would have if accepted, we conclude that the encroachment of onto open space provides a sufficient ground for refusal.

(2) Habitable rooms and density ranges. The London Plan sets out different density ranges for different types of site. Linden Homes claims that the London Plan density for this site is 40-80 dwellings per hectare (dph). One of the factors used for this is the number of habitable rooms per dwelling unit. By making a careful count of the number of habitable rooms we show that the density range for this site should be 35-65 dph and not 40-80 dph.
